Welcome to the exciting world of the Latin American Community Center, also known among its many friends and supporters as the LACC or El Centro Latino. The Agency has been in the Hilltop of Wilmington since 1969 serving and supporting the community and people that surround it.

As stated in our vision and mission, we seek to empower members of our community to become contributing members of society. We do this through advocacy and by offering a continuum of care of programs and services to anyone that seeks our assistance. From the ages of one to 101 our goal is to change lives.

Continuum of Care programs and services are offered in two strategic focus streams: Lifelong Learning and Life Empowerment. Lifelong Learning concentrates on the educational needs of our client families, from quality pre-school programs to adult education. Life Empowerment focuses on the immediate life needs families and individuals that come to the LACC may be facing, from short term case management to a job placement, or learning English to be able to obtain better jobs and buy a house.

Our journey over these years would not have been possible without the support of the community, our funders, volunteers and our dedicated staff. Please join us in discovering the world of the LACC as you navigate across the programs and services that create the fabric of our continuum of care philosophy.

Make your reservations for our Annual Grand Ball On October 5th through our Grand Ball Website.
